Mass Effect Completed!!!

Guess nobody thought i was going to complete the game "Mass Effect" on Xbox 360 Elite, starting from thursday 29th of September 2009. As you know from my previous blog, the mission on Virmire was completed, and the next mission (after doing some assignments) was to be Llos to stop Saren from reaching the Conduit. 

The mission in Llos was surrounded by a lot of jungle and the Geth sneaking up on Shepard and his team from everywhere. This mission was a very typical scout-hunt-and-blast-your-way-to-the-goal-style, which made this level extra thrilling, as you can hear the background music playing quickly, which meant that things were going to be extra dramatic.

The level started off seeing Saren and the Geth getting inside an underground entrance closing the door, permitting Shepard and his team to gain entry. They were informed to find a security room to open up the door to the underground tunnels. The team had to deal with a lot of Geth. Now that both Shepard and the team had become quite skilled with the weapons, they easily managed to deal with the Geth on the way. Ashley and the quarian woman were part of Shepards' team in Llos. They had to run into elevators and at last they found the security to activate the door to the underground tunnels. With the vechicle Mako, they managed to drive in the tunnels killing Geths in the way, until they reached a shielded part of the tunnel. Looking on the side of the wall, they saw an elevator that lead to a unique Prophan machine which revealed Sarens' plan with the Conduit. Saren was going to destroy the Citadel, and time was running out for Shepard and his team. With all the information they got, the machine removed the shield and ran back to the vechile to continue down to the Conduit. They drove fast, shooting the Geth and leapt into the opening that transported Shepard and his team into Citadel, which was now under heavy attack from Saren and the Geth, with the Reapers on the way. Shepard and his team did everything to blast they way to Citadel Tower in order to stop the war against Citadel, stopping many Geth on the way and eliminating much of the Geths' advance to destroy Citadel, like deactivating gunners, canons and similar powerful weapons. Several parts of the corridors happened to be turnt almost upside down. The whole planet was turnt into a burning hole. Citadel looked messed, but not completely destroyed...yet..

After some but successful struggles removing the Geth, the team reached Citadel Tower only to see Saren preparing the final destruction on Citadel, using his Soverign ship to control the activity. Shepard tried to shake Sarens' thoughts again and almost succeeded, seeing that Soverign had quite an affect on Saren. Unfortunately, Saren sacrified himself (as it would seem), falling deeply to the ground. The 2 from Shepards' team were ordered to ensure that Saren was dead by shooting him. Not long after, after most of the Geths were destroyed from air by Normady, Saren arose himself from the aches and turnt himself into one of the Geth. Almost immortal, but not quite. The final battle against Saren proved to be difficult enough, but at last Shepard and his team was able to take him down once and for all. Saren was finally destroyed, and Shepard wasted no time to save the Council. After the long heavy battle, Citadel was again a peaceful place and the Council was now safe. Shepard and his team was honoured with the Medal Of Honor (got an archivement for that). The previous Captain of Normady, was suggested by Shepard to join the Council. The end saw Shepard and some of his team flying away. This was the end of the game. We will see him again in Mass Effect 2!

The rest of the weekend had me playing the game from the beginning again, starting with the main character whom reached level 43. It has a lot of advance to have such a high-skilled character. Managed to complete all the Citadel missions. Instead of focusing doing the main missions at first, i simply jus brought myself to the Pinnacle Station, increasing my skills in different shooting-missions. Managed to get 2 further archivements currently. An archivement for being an expert with shotgun, the other one was to be one of the best ranged. Not the bes of the best, but like "a new sherif in town", if you know what i mean? There is still more to do...

Love the game. Can't say more than that. Otherwise, i spent more time with my family...
